The Molino de la Albolafia, a noria or Islamic water wheel on the Guadalquivir river, Cordoba, Andalusia, Southern Spain. The water wheel was added to a Roman mill at the time of Abd-al-Rahman II in the 9th century, to raise the river water to the Caliphal Palace, later converted to the Episcopal Palace by the Catholic Kings. In the distance is the Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, the palace of the Catholic Kings. The historic centre of Cordoba is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site....
