Ca l'Espinal, built 1900 by Joan Rubio, 1870-1952, as the residence of Mr Espinal the factory manager and company administrator, in the Colonia Guell, a workers' colony set up by Eusebi Guell in Santa Coloma de Cervello, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The building has a stone and brick facade with brick lattice work and a medieval style corner turret. The colony was begun in 1890 on Guell's estate Can Soler de la Torre, with a hospital, boardinghouse, schools, shops, theatres, chapel, factories...
